Welcome to the TAME/2 web site. This part of os2warp.be is a joint venture
between Goran Ivankovic, Klaus Staedtler and os2warp.be.
1. Browse Scanner Database
For your convenience, we've constructed a search system, so that you needn't
browse through the entire tables of tested and reported devices, but that you
can just search the devices you want. Just enter your search key(s), add some
extra filters if you wish, like the type of connection (USB, SCSI or LPT), and
click the Go button. These scanner databases have been completely synchronized
with OS/2 CHL's extensive hardware list to suit your needs best.
Some additional notes may be appropriate here:
- When you select All as Device connection, then, at the
right, in the search results table there will appear three column, labeled
USB, SCSI, and LPT. Yellow birds in one of these
columns will indicate whether the device works with one of the appropriate
interfaces to connect it to the computer. These yellow birds won't appear
when you selected a particular connection interface, and your choice will
be visualized in that your choice is remembered and displayed.
- The green birds indicate the drivers that can be used to make the scanner
device work with OS/2.
- Should you want to have an overview of ALL scanners we tested and that
are present in our databases, then do not enter a search key, select All
as Device connection, and All as Scanner
Drivers.
- The resulting table will be displayed under the search navigation system.
| All scanners working reported to work with Sane for OS/2 work with Tame/2 too, if they are not in the Tame/2 list only user provided settings for this scanner are missing | ** | Additional parameter (with HP only sometimes) required :bntnln | **** | Problems with SIS chipset (and/or USBOHCI.SYS) and 2400/1650 reported, we guess USB scanning with SIS chipset doesn't work with any USB scanner. Make sure that at least Kernel 14.093 or an updated OS2LDR is installed. Make too sure that USB Basic drivers are beyond August 2002 (sorry don't have the exact version numbers). Further make sure that either your soundcard driver doesn't use an IRQ used by USB, or that these are able to share IRQ's. | ***** | The Canon FS2710S does no preview and scans only in PNM. |
2. TAME/2 Supported Devices
Though you can obtain this using our navigation search system above, we offer
you the possibility to get a clear listing of all devices that we have tested
and that have been reported to work fine with TAME/2. The scanners are grouped
several times: first we've made the difference between the connection type (USB,
SCSI, LPT), and then we've grouped these devices according to the TAME/2 backend
you need to use alphabetically. Click HERE
